Glamping pod

Planning permission granted for new venture in Wincanton

We are really pleased to announce that permission has just been granted for the change of use of land for the stationing of a new glamping pod just outside Wincanton. The pod is supplied by Arch Leisure and will provide two bedrooms, a shower room and an open plan kitchen and living space.

The pod will be tucked away in a quiet countryside location. Sited in one corner of a paddock, guests will be able to experience a truly immersive rural retreat. Just off the A303, the pod is easily accessible and gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy all that this part of Somerset has to offer: Days out in Bath, Sherborne or Wells; The Newt; Cheddar Gorge; the Jurassic Coast; cider!

Wincanton and its surrounding villages provide a wide range of facilities and eateries, which visitors will be able to enjoy such as The Nog Inn; Lovington Bakery; Number 16; The Stapleton Arms at Buckhorn Weston; The Bull at Hardway; At The Chapel in Bruton; or the café at Kimber's Farm Shop.

The proposal makes good use of a small parcel of land and will allow the applicants to start a new tourism venture, which will benefit the local economy. Glamping continues to grow in popularity and we are sure this venture will be a huge success.

If you are planning a similar venture, you will need planning permission. We can help, so do get in touch.
