New oak garden room
We achieved planning permission for this large rear extension last year. The building work is nearly finished and it is absolutely stunning.

The owners purchased this unlisted traditional stone dwelling in 2020. Although a handsome house with a generous garden, it was lacking the sort of open-plan kitchen and living space the the couple dreamed of. Tim Cole Downes http://timcoledownes.co.uk designed 2 extensions to provide a single storey rear extension and a 2 storey side extension.

The rear extension is almost 10 metres long and provides a very generous new kitchen/diner and sitting room. It is constructed from natural stone with a green oak timber frame. The frame was designed and produced by Matt Dunne of Frameworks Ltd https://frameworkers.co.uk. The end result is really beautiful and the owners are very fortunate to be able to enjoy such a gorgeous view of the Blackmore Vale.

Being planners, we don't always get to see the end results of our efforts, but it's really nice to see. If you have a similar project in mind, we can provide you with advice and all the elements you will require to achieve planning permission such as plans and other specialist services.
